"Creating art in the age of social media is an attempt to break free from the self-referentiality(...) The art of doing politics means living every day, paying attention to others and the environment that surrounds us, striving to design a better future."

While waiting for our event, "Political Knowledge," which will take place at the European Parliament in Brussels on July 4th and 6th, let's get to know the guests who will participate in the meetings.

The first guest is the artist Felice Ardito, who will contribute to the conference "Echoes from the past, visions for the future" on Thursday, July 6th. The conference will touch on the themes of art, memory, and innovation.

Moreover, recognizing that change starts with the younger generations, on Tuesday, July 4th, Ardito will animate certain spaces of the Parliament with a dedicated meeting day for children called "The Children's Crusade." During this event, he will engage the young participants with an intervention that encompasses art, play, and addresses some of the most important topics for our – but above all, their – future.

"The art of politics, the art of doing good" – that's how Ardito, born in Switzerland in 1977 and a graduate of the Brera Academy, describes the content of his intervention in Brussels. He explains, "Creating art in the age of social media is an attempt to break free from the self-referentiality to which every individual seems destined. The art of doing politics means living every day, paying attention to others and the environment that surrounds us, striving to design a better future!" The artist participated in the Venice Biennale in 2015, bringing "The Children's Pavilion" to the Iranian Pavilion, and in the Architecture Biennale in 2016. His message ranges from sculpture to installations, animation to education, encompassing play and artistic expression.
